A History of the Boer War 1899-1900

A real must for those with ancestors who fought in the Boer War or for those interested in its history. An exceptionally well-illustrated set of books containing beautiful illustrations, photos and a hand tinted map of South Africa. It has a chapter for every advance and battle. Amongst its 700 pages it has a roll of honour and lists battalions involved in the war including those from colonial countries and volunteers. The history is very readable and detailed, it even tells you about the type of rations the army and natives ate, the type of weapons they used and so on. • over-produced initially, so offered as "spares" to clear
