The families of the Western Isles of Scotland inhabited a world long shaped by the mixture of Celtic and Norse cultures. The Celtic folk there shared an ancient traditional culture with the mainland, but the Norse-Viking settlers added a distinctive new outlook and introduced the islanders to a vast world outside Scotland.
This history of those islands (Lewis, Harris, Skye and Uist) and of the people who inhabited them paints a picture of a complex and unique Highland world as it developed over 600 years.

This CD consists of scans of the original books, which can be browsed, enlarged and printed if required. Please note: they are not searchable.
