It proceeds, chapter by chapter, through the events and individuals who defined the region, with much information on such families as: Gordon, Keith, Irvine, Forbes, Durward, Cheney, Bysset, and Leslie, to cite but a few. This is a history of particular use to those seeking to understand the development of this more urban and trade-oriented region and of the growth of such important cities as Aberdeen.
