  Often you ask the question “why did my ancestor do that?” or “What happen to cause this?” Well this book has given me a new perspective on what forces had driven my ancestors to change. Wayne Shepherd has used his academic knowledge and family history studies to produce a book that should be in every family historians library. Delving into the different forces exerting change on our ancestors lives give us a new perspective on why they did certain things. Definitely a must read book.
