It represents all available references to metropolitan inquests held for this period by the Public Record Office of SA, including most of the period from 1877-1930 for which Inquest reports are no longer extant. In addition, abstracts of reports on inquests are included in full. The majority of these deaths are directly or indirectly a result of accidents, such as contracting pneumonia after an accident. Self inflicted causes are also noted. Includes name(s), date, age, place and cause of death as well as marital status, occupation and addresses where provided. Places of business, ships and prisons have also been cross referenced to assist historians. Over 7400 entries.
