Night Announcer Resigns
NEW STAFF MEMBER
Norman Ellis, young 5DN night announcer, has resigned his position after six weeks, and will shortly return to Melbourne. On Monday, Anthony (“Bill”) MacFayden, formerly heard from the “Advertiser” network, joined the station’s announcing staff. Norman Ellis came to 5DN from 3UZ, Melbourne, where he had been night announcer and assistant producer. During the time he has been with 5DN he has been heard at night, in association with Alan Sanders, who joined the staff about the same time, also coming from Melbourne.
Medically unfit for military service, Norman has been connected with commercial broadcasting for about five years.
