The year 1915 was significant for Australians as it was the year that compulsory voting was introduced (for referendums - Federally it was introduced in 1924). The Queensland Government state that the population in Queensland in 1915 was approximately 685,000, and this set of Electoral Rolls covering the whole of the state (12 huge volumes -14,800 pages) lists the details of many thousands of them. As it was also during WWI, it is likely that some family members may be missing from the lists if they were involved in the war.
The following information is included for most (but not all) entries:
- Christian name and surname
- Place of Residence
- Occupation
- Freehold or Leasehold
- Date of Claim (when received by electoral registrar)
- Sex (M/F)
