Wondai is a town of about 1,400 people located approximately 240 kilometres north-west of Brisbane in the South Burnett area. The cemetery is on the highway just to the north of the town. The earliest death recorded on a headstone in the cemetery is that of Robert McLucas in 1907 aged 41 years.
