• faulty label printing, e.g. off colour or misaligned. A few have been manually labelled or corrected
• over-produced initially, so offered as "spares" to clear

This book contains an alphabetical list of railways and their officers who held posts in 1888-9. This includes, Presidents and Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Engineers, Auditors and Clerks. So if your ancestor worked for the railway during this time as an official it is likely they will be listed. Not only does it contain lists of the railway officials but also the officials for the street and logging railways, manufacturers, builders and contractors associated with the railways.
