Here is a dream of a book for the genealogist or researcher. The first map shows all of Scotland, with the counties located for easy reference. Then, each county is given its own full-color map in wonderful detail. What is of particular importance, though, is that all the parishes are identified on each county map. There is as well a comprehensive index at the end of the work. This truly is one of those situations where the newest, most up-to-date model simply will not provide the same information as the antique! Contains 32 full-colour maps, and a 34 page index.
Maps are provided for: Aberdeen, Argyll and Bute, Ayr, Banff, Berwick, Caithness, Dumbarton, Dumfries, Edinburgh, Environs of Edinburgh, Elgin and Nairn, Fife and Kinross, Forfar, Haddington, Inverness (Mainland), Western Islands (including parts of Ross and Inverness), Kincardine, Kirkcudbright, Lanark, Environs of Glasgow, Linlithgow, Orkney and Shetland, Peebles, Perth, Renfrew, Ross and Cromarty, Roxburgh, Selkirk, Stirling and Clackmannan, Sutherland, and Wigtown.
Scanned images of the whole of the original book, bookmarked for easy navigation. Pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.

Never be lost in Scotland again
This CD provides an excellent overview of the Counties of Scotland, with detailed boundaries of the Parishes shown. Because it is reproduced as PDF it is a simple matter to zoom in on the maps to the area of interest to read the details without needing to resort to a magnifying glass. The comprehensive index at the back makes this a valuable tool for anyone with Scottish research.
