Published by 'Wise, Caffin & Co' in 1891, this enormous directory of New Zealand consists of over over 1600 pages, contains information on over 1200 towns, boroughs, cities and districts, together with and alphabetical directory for those in the colony of New Zealand.

There are also trade and miscellaneous sections which lists the names, addresses and professions of thousands of persons in New Zealand in 1890-91. Also included is a street guide for some of the major towns and separate directories for banking, public companies, medical, legal, ecclesiastical, educational, pastoral, municipal and government departments.

This product provides a great tool for researching New Zealand history making information that is difficult to find plainly and easily accessible on one CD. So this publication is kind of like a very early yellow pages and white pages combined (without the phone numbers obviously)!
