Originally published 1898, and consisting of 196 pages this book is an account of the descendants of three brothers of a Scottish family Robert, John, and David Kerr. Having spent less than a year in County Londonderry, Ireland, they moved on to the American colonies, landing in Philadelphia in the spring of 1708. John moved to northern Georgia about 1715; Robert located in Camden county, New Jersey; and David, the youngest, moved west of the Susquehanna, into either York or Adams county. Of particular interest are the 70 family portraits which are included.
Also with this product are two short articles relating to the history and genealogy of the Kerrs: "Henry Ker of Graden," by J.F. Leishman; and "The Carre Heraldic Panel," by the Rev. T.D.S. Bayley and Francis W. Steer.
