Highfields Pioneer Village, located north of Toowoomba, Queensland, is dedicated to preserving the historical legacy of the early pioneers who settled in the Darling Downs region.

It started as the dream of one man — Ray Ashford — and has blossomed into a well-established landmark that is supported by over 200 volunteers, as well as local businesses, and local and state governments.

Thousands of tourists flock to the village each year, including local residents, school groups and interstate and international tours, to take a step back in time and appreciate the range of buildings and artefacts that have been lovingly preserved.
