Written in 1909 'The Dead Heart of Australia' was written by J.W. Gregory, a Professor of Geology, for the purpose of studying the interior of South-eastern Australia and the conditions of Lake Eyre.

It contains many pictures of inland Australia taken during the expedition. Also included are maps of the Lake Eyre and Central Artesian Basin.

This product provides a great tool for researching early land exploration of the interior of Australia, making difficult to find information easily accessible on CD.

High quality scanned images of the whole of the original book. This CD has been bookmarked for easy navigation, and pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.
