The Australian Pastoral Directory 1925 lists approximately 24,000 stockowners in all States of Australia. There is also a separate index for New South Wales and Queensland by Station, a list of prominent stock agents in four states and various statistics and advertisements.

The listings for New South Wales and Queensland are in tabular form giving

• name of Owner
• name of Station
• postal Address
• number of Cattle
• number of Sheep
• separate indexes of station names

The listings for Victoria give name,  address and number of sheep. The listings for the other states - South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory give name and address of the stockowners.

Maps are included for

• New South Wales - showing pastures protection districts
• Queensland - showing pastoral districts as used in the directory
• Victoria -  - showing pastoral districts as used in the directory

The whole 386 page directory is searchable. It is useful not only for finding names, but also places, occupations and other information.
